Rocknations is our annual youth conference that my gorgeous hubby arranges. I just had the privilege of being a part of it last week and I was so encouraged. The room was loud and sweaty, the music pumping and the presence of God was so overwhelming. There was such a sense of drawing on God and, as I looked over the young crowd, tears rolled down my face as I realised the future is actually very bright and very strong.

There is a generation who are being told they can make a difference, they can change history and you know what they believe it! I for one want to be one of the people who help to echo that in their lives to speak to them and say don’t settle for anything less than a life that makes a difference. Being around those young people was refreshing. They are just so excited! They cheer at anything and I thought how we can get so reserved as we grow older. We get less impressed by the simplicity of things and need a lot more to be done to gain our approval.

Maybe that’s why Jesus said ‘Let the little children come to Me’ because for him he loved being around the excited uncomplicated joy and appreciation of those kids that just wanted to sit and play on his knee. Would you be happy to just sit on his knee or do you need a miracle sign and wonder to feel appreciation? I thank God for every young life that was impacted this week at the Rocknations conference. I thank God for every seed sown and I also for every young person for passion that seems relentless. I pray you keep that energy, find an outlet for it, sustain it and go and make a difference! I for one, want to keep running ahead of you but I know I can’t slack my speed so running shoes are on! What about yours?
